Fire in Parvati Valley village leads to major revelation
Kullu: A distressing event unfolded in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, where a woman reportedly ignited her husband's home after discovering he had married for the third time. Authorities have detained the woman along with three of her female relatives, all of whom are accused of participating in the arson. They are currently in police custody until December 24.
The fire erupted in Dadehi village, located in the Parvati Valley, earlier this month. Initially, the cause of the fire was uncertain, prompting police to initiate an investigation. However, it was later revealed that the blaze was not accidental but allegedly premeditated.
According to police reports, the woman, who was married in Dadehi village, became enraged upon learning of her husband's third marriage. In retaliation, she allegedly plotted with three relatives to set fire to his residence.
Destruction and Displacement
Two houses, deity storehouse destroyed
The fire resulted in significant destruction, consuming two homes and a storehouse dedicated to a local deity. In total, four structures were completely destroyed, leaving two families without shelter. One family has sought refuge in a cowshed, while the other has relocated to an old house in a nearby village.
This incident reportedly took place on December 7. Police estimates indicate that the fire obliterated residences with 12 and 18 rooms, in addition to a four-storey storage facility belonging to the deity Atharah. The estimated damage is over Rs 1 crore.

Four women arrested, investigation on
Superintendent of Police Madan Lal confirmed the arrests of the four women involved and stated that the investigation is ongoing. The incident has generated considerable discussion in the area, given both the extent of the damage and the circumstances surrounding the alleged crime.
The police are currently reviewing all aspects of the case and will proceed with further actions based on their findings.
