While the plains of North India are experiencing extreme heat, Himachal Pradesh has become a refreshing escape. Over the last 72 hours, more than 70,000 vehicles have arrived in Shimla and Manali, leading to significant traffic jams on the mountainous roads.

In the meantime, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has released a rain and hailstorm warning for various regions in the state, including Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla. This news has surprisingly become a source of joy rather than worry, as many see it as a welcome relief.

Both tourists and residents are taking to social media to express their excitement about the forecast, referring to it as “nature’s air conditioner” after enduring days of oppressive heat.

Authorities have advised visitors to steer clear of peak traffic hours and to park their vehicles responsibly, as the surge in visitors is expected to continue into the weekend.
