Designed to meet earthquake safety standards, this facility aims to improve public services and streamline municipal operations. Equipped with advanced infrastructure, including solar power and rainwater harvesting systems, it sets a new standard for urban governance in the region. The inauguration was attended by various dignitaries, marking a significant step towards enhancing administrative efficiency in Dharamshala.

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, officially opened the newly built Samridhi Bhawan in Dharamshala, located in the Kangra district, on Monday.



This facility, which cost Rs 24.47 crore to construct, aims to enhance the working conditions of the Municipal Corporation and provide modern, efficient public services to the local community.



Constructed to meet earthquake zone-V standards, the building prioritizes structural safety and durability. It encompasses a total area of 2,511 square meters and includes two basements with parking for 80 vehicles, featuring designated spots for both staff and the public.



With advanced infrastructure, the building is equipped with a fire alarm system, a 50 KW solar power installation, rainwater harvesting tanks, and a water storage capacity of 30,000 liters.



The Chief Minister remarked that Samridhi Bhawan would act as a contemporary center for administrative efficiency, citizen-focused services, and sustainable urban governance. Its strategic location is anticipated to enhance municipal operations in Dharamshala and serve as a benchmark for future urban infrastructure initiatives throughout the state.



Among those present at the inauguration were MLA Suresh Kumar, former MP Viplove Thakur, Dharamshala Mayor Neenu Sharma, Congress leader Devender Jaggi, HP Wool Federation Chairman Manoj Thakur, APMC Kangra Chairman Nishu Mongra, and other notable figures.
