Record-Breaking Blood Donation Camp in Dharamshala


Dharamshala witnessed a significant achievement as the Navjeevan Trust hosted a large-scale blood donation camp as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. This event celebrated 25 years of public service by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and successfully gathered 722 units of blood, exceeding the previous state record of 603 units.


The camp saw enthusiastic involvement from local youth, residents, and individuals from various backgrounds. To facilitate an orderly process and prevent congestion, donors were assigned specific time slots, ensuring an efficient experience.


During the event, MLA Sudhir Sharma highlighted the noble nature of blood donation, which unites people beyond caste and regional divides. He remarked, “All blood is the same, and through donation, we serve humanity,” while congratulating Prime Minister Modi on his 25 years in public service. He reminisced about Modi's initial oath as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and his journey to becoming India's Prime Minister, under whose guidance the nation has risen as a global force.


The camp also welcomed notable figures such as Mayor Shamsher Singh Nehria, Deputy Mayor Prerna Guleria, and members of the Navjeevan Trust, along with representatives from Tanda Medical College and Bhagwan Buddha Charitable Trust.


With a total of 722 units collected—119 units more than the previous record— this blood donation camp in Dharamshala exemplifies community spirit, dedication, and a commitment to humanitarian efforts.
