The Himachal Pradesh Government Pensioners’ Association convened its monthly meeting on March 14, led by President Sardarilal Gupta.


The gathering focused on various challenges faced by retired employees, particularly emphasizing the financial entitlements for those who retired post-2016.


General Secretary Jaswant Dhiman highlighted the importance of advocating for pensioners' rights. He announced a rally scheduled for March 16 in Dharamshala, where pensioners from the Kangra district will present a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, urging the government to address their concerns. He called on fellow retirees to join this important initiative.


During his speech, President Sardarilal Gupta stressed the urgency of addressing outstanding demands, asserting that neglecting the rights of pensioners is unfair. He urged retirees to come together and work collectively to expedite the resolution of their issues. He also thanked all members for their consistent involvement in the association's activities.


Following the meeting, refreshments were provided, and the event saw participation from the President, General Secretary, Treasurer, and numerous pensioners.
