Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu revealed plans for substantial reforms in the education sector of Himachal Pradesh. The government intends to recruit specialized instructors for English and Mathematics in government schools transitioning to the CBSE curriculum, with the hiring process expected to commence soon.

While inaugurating the Gugga Dham and park, which cost approximately ₹60 lakh in his ancestral village Bhawran (Amlehar Gram Panchayat, Nadaun constituency, Hamirpur district), the Chief Minister announced that the Amlehar school has received CBSE affiliation. He also mentioned that the Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School is under rapid development, with classes anticipated to start next year. Four selected schools, including Amlehar, will introduce various subjects, allowing students to select courses based on their interests.

Encouragement for Natural Farming and Renewable Energy

Encouraging farmers to embrace natural farming, the Chief Minister pointed out that the government is providing attractive prices for crops cultivated through this method. For instance, naturally grown turmeric is being purchased at ₹90 per kg, enabling farmers to potentially earn up to ₹3 lakh from five kanals of land.

Additionally, he announced subsidies for establishing solar plants on unused land. Young entrepreneurs could achieve a net profit of up to ₹3 lakh annually by setting up solar plants on four kanals of land.

Investment in Drinking Water Initiatives

The Chief Minister also disclosed that nearly ₹100 crore is being allocated for drinking water projects in the Nadaun constituency. To ensure a safe water supply, advanced UV technology and ozonation processes will replace traditional bleaching powder methods.
