Today, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, shared insights from his recent meeting with the esteemed spiritual figure Sri Sri Ravi Shankar during his trip to Karnataka. He described the encounter as both spiritually uplifting and unforgettable.

In a social media update, Sukhu noted that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar commended the Himachal Pradesh Government's efforts in promoting natural farming, cow protection, and the welfare of cattle. The Chief Minister also pledged that the state would provide comprehensive support to the ashram located in Himachal Pradesh.

This meeting is particularly noteworthy as it precedes the 45th anniversary celebrations of The Art of Living Foundation, which will take place at its International Centre in Bengaluru. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended these celebrations and inaugurated the newly built Dhyan Mandir on the ashram grounds.

According to Sukhu, he engaged in ‘gau seva’ at the ashram, an experience that he described as filling him with 'inner peace, positive energy, and spiritual awareness.' He expressed that connecting with fellow Himachal Pradesh residents working at the ashram fostered a profound sense of belonging and emotional ties.

He remarked, 'This experience, rich in service, spirituality, and Indian cultural values, will always be cherished.'

Sources revealed that the discussions during the meeting also focused on environmental sustainability and the advancement of natural farming techniques. The Himachal Pradesh Government aims to establish the region as a benchmark for eco-friendly agricultural practices. In recent years, the state has prioritized chemical-free farming, conservation of indigenous cattle, and sustainable rural livelihoods.

Established in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, The Art of Living Foundation has grown into one of the largest volunteer-led spiritual and humanitarian organizations globally, engaging in meditation, education, rural development, stress management, and social outreach across various nations.
