Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education Announces Class 12 Results
DHARAMSHALA: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) released the results for the Class 12 annual examinations on Saturday, May 17, 2025. This year, the overall pass rate reached 83.16%, with female students notably surpassing their male counterparts in the merit rankings.
The announcement was made by Hemraj Bairwa, the Deputy Commissioner of Kangra and Chairman of HPBOSE, alongside Board Secretary Dr. Vishal Sharma. Out of the 75 students who made it to the top-10 merit list, 61 were girls and 14 were boys, underscoring the academic achievements of female students in the region.
Mehak from the Una district achieved the highest score in the state, obtaining 97.2% (486 out of 500). Following her, Khushi and Jahnavi from Kangra secured the second position with 96.6% (483 out of 500). The Class 12 examinations took place in March 2025 at 2,300 centers throughout the state, excluding the tribal regions of Lahaul-Spiti and Pangi. A total of 93,494 candidates, including regular and State Open School (SOS) students, participated in the exams.
It is worth noting that the English exam for Class 12 was rescheduled after the question paper was inadvertently opened during the Class 10 English examination at a school in Chamba district. The re-examination was held in April.
Steps to Check HPBOSE Class 12 Results Online
Students can access their results on the official HPBOSE website, hpbose.org.in, right after the announcement. To check the results, follow these steps:
- Visit the official HPBOSE website at hpbose.org.in.
- Input the required details such as Roll Number and Date of Birth.
- Submit the information to view the marksheet.
- Download and print the result for future reference.
Accessing HPBOSE Class 12 Results via DigiLocker
Students can also retrieve their Class 12 certificates through DigiLocker. Here’s how to do it:
- Download the DigiLocker app on your mobile device or visit digilocker.gov.in.
- Create an account or log in.
- Navigate to the ‘Education’ section on the homepage.
- Select the link for HPBOSE Class 12 Results.
- Enter your Roll Number and other necessary details.
- Your digital marksheet will be displayed and saved in your DigiLocker account.
