Chief Minister's Inspection of Himachal Niketan

Today, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the site of the ongoing construction of Himachal Niketan located in Dwarka, New Delhi. He instructed officials to ensure that the project is completed within the next six months.


The initiative, which has an estimated budget of ₹145 crore, will include 107 rooms, a restaurant, a banquet hall, a multipurpose hall, meeting spaces, dormitories, parking areas, landscaped gardens, and electric vehicle charging stations, among other facilities. The Chief Minister noted that Himachal Niketan, designed to offer nearly five-star amenities, will provide essential lodging for Himachalis traveling to the capital for medical care, education, and various other reasons.


Shri Sukhu highlighted that the state government is attentive to the needs of its citizens, and the new building in New Delhi exemplifies this dedication.

Accompanying the Chief Minister during the inspection were State Congress President Vinay Kumar, Principal Resident Commissioner Ajay Yadav, OSD to the Chief Minister Col (Retd) K.S. Banshtu, along with senior PWD officials.
