The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority's CEO, Sonika, confirmed the resumption of these services.

It is important to note that a private helicopter crashed in the Kedarnath Valley on Sunday, claiming the lives of seven people, including five pilgrims. In response to this incident, the Uttarakhand government had temporarily suspended helicopter services for the Char Dham Yatra. According to CEO Sonika of UCADA, the helicopter services will now operate in accordance with the guidelines set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The government has instructed all helicopter operators and pilots to undergo checks to confirm their experience in flying in Himalayan regions. Strict investigations will be conducted against anyone found violating regulations, and the government will maintain continuous oversight. Decisions regarding flights will be made based on weather conditions.
