Political Reactions and Further Warnings
It is worth noting that the Congress party had previously accused the state leadership of being displeased with Ranaut's absence. When asked about her lack of presence during the tragedy at a press conference with Union Health Minister JP Nadda, he mentioned that she would visit Mandi soon.
The weather department has issued warnings for moderate to high flooding in the districts of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur over the next 24 hours. There are also concerns about landslides, flooding, damage to fragile structures, crops, and essential services. Residents are advised to stay away from water sources and sensitive areas.
