The monsoon is expected to remain active in Rajasthan for the time being, with forecasts indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall in various regions of the state. This information was provided by the meteorological department on Friday.
According to the department, the eastern parts of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, and Udaipur divisions, will experience active monsoon conditions over the next few days. There is a strong likelihood of moderate to heavy rainfall in these areas. Additionally, warnings have been issued for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kota, Udaipur divisions, and surrounding districts.
In western Rajasthan, particularly in the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions, an increase in rainfall activities is also anticipated. Notably, the southern regions of Jodhpur division may witness heavy to very heavy rainfall between July 31 and August 2. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall has been recorded in several parts of the state over the past 24 hours, with Banswara district experiencing significant downpours.
The highest rainfall recorded during this period was 69 millimeters in Kushalgarh, Banswara district.
