On Thursday morning, several areas in the national capital experienced heavy rainfall, providing much-needed relief from the humid weather. The meteorological department has issued an 'orange' alert, predicting moderate to heavy rain throughout the day. According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature recorded in Delhi was 26.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.3 degrees Celsius lower than the seasonal average.
Weather Forecast and Air Quality
The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 32 degrees Celsius. Data from the Central Pollution Control Board indicated that the air quality index (AQI) at 9 AM was recorded at 84, falling within the 'satisfactory' category. The board classifies the AQI as follows: 0-50 is 'good', 51-100 is 'satisfactory', 101-200 is 'moderate', 201-300 is 'poor', 301-400 is 'very poor', and 401-500 is 'severe'.
