Ongoing Monsoon Activity in Rajasthan

The monsoon season is bringing intense rainfall to the eastern regions of Rajasthan, with the highest recorded precipitation of 190 millimeters in Sallopat, Banswara over the past 24 hours. According to the meteorological department, this trend of rainfall is expected to persist.


As of Wednesday morning, numerous areas in eastern Rajasthan experienced thunderstorms accompanied by rain, with some locations reporting heavy to extremely heavy downpours.


Rainfall has also been observed in western Rajasthan, where Sallopat in Banswara recorded the most significant amount of 190 mm. Despite the rains, several districts are still facing high temperatures, with Ganganagar reaching a maximum of 42.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.


The weather department indicates that rainfall activities in the eastern parts of the state will continue for the next week, with a likelihood of heavy rain in certain areas. Additionally, regions in the western part of Rajasthan, including parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions, are also expected to experience thunderstorms and rain in the coming days, particularly between June 26 and 29, when an increase in rainfall activities is anticipated.
