This clip features a nursery student from the village of Saide, near Mamdot in Ferozepur, who expresses his sorrowful situation to his teacher, stating, 'I couldn't complete my homework today because there was no flour, and I didn't eat any bread either.'


Teacher Moved to Tears by Student's Words

After the video gained traction online, the teacher shared his thoughts, revealing that the child spoke with genuine innocence about why he couldn't finish his schoolwork. The boy explained that due to a lack of flour at home, no food was prepared, leaving him hungry. Hearing his words brought tears to the teacher's eyes. The child's name is Amrit, a mere five years old, attending nursery at a government school in his village.


Child Sent to School on an Empty Stomach

Amrit's family faces significant financial hardships. His mother explained that when his father finds work, they can manage to eat, but during times of unemployment, they often go to bed hungry. On that particular day, she noticed there was no flour at home when sending her children to school. In a desperate attempt to feed them, she went to two neighboring houses to ask for flour, but unfortunately, she was unable to secure any, resulting in her having to send Amrit to school without breakfast.
