Health Initiative to Combat Anemia in Children and Women

In an effort to combat anemia among children and women, the health department has initiated 'Shakti Day' every Tuesday, providing iron supplements and conducting health screenings. This program aims to address symptoms of anemia, such as fatigue and dizziness, ensuring that vulnerable groups like children, adolescents, and pregnant women receive the necessary care. Addressing Anemia in the Community

सीकर। If your child seems irritable and tires easily while playing, it may be time to consult a doctor. The child could be suffering from anemia, which can lead to symptoms such as chills, difficulty breathing, dizziness, and headaches due to a lack of blood in the body.

To combat this issue, the health department observes a 'Shakti Day' every Tuesday of the month. On this day, iron supplements are distributed to women and children to help alleviate anemia. The initiative aims to ensure that children, adolescents, pregnant women, and nursing mothers are free from anemia. Health workers check blood levels and provide iron supplements to boost hemoglobin levels.

Dr. Ashok Maharia, the Chief Medical and Health Officer, reported that on Tuesday, health personnel conducted screenings at medical institutions, anganwadi centers, and educational institutions across the district. They tested blood levels and administered iron and folic acid tablets, along with syrup for children.

Dr. Harshal Chaudhary, the Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer, inspected sub-centers in Hardayalapura, Dadli, Kundli, and Chhaunapura on Tuesday.
