Serious Allegations Against School Headmaster

In Jharsuguda, a headmaster has been taken into custody following allegations of molesting female students within the Banharpali police jurisdiction. The individual, identified as Ajay Behera, serves as the headmaster at an Ashram School located in the Lakhanpur block.

According to Banharpali IIC Ranjit Naik, Behera is scheduled to appear in court on Friday. He faces accusations of inappropriate behavior, having reportedly entered the hostel rooms and bathrooms of girls in Classes VIII, IX, and X.

The situation escalated when Behera allegedly molested two students on Wednesday. Frustrated by the ongoing harassment, the girls united to file a complaint with block social welfare officer Jyotsna Raudia, detailing their distressing experiences.

Raudia subsequently alerted the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Punyabati Helen Xess, about the troubling circumstances faced by the students. Following the DSWO's directive, the block social welfare officer lodged a formal complaint at the Banharpali police station.

The police registered a case (171/25) and initiated an investigation. During this inquiry, they uncovered substantial evidence against Behera, leading to his arrest.
