Promoting Science Beyond Laboratories

On Sunday, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini called on scientists to take science beyond the confines of laboratories and ensure its advantages reach every individual in society. He emphasized that true prosperity through science is realized when it aids farmers in increasing crop yields, heals patients, and empowers entrepreneurs.

Addressing the International Science Festival

During a speech at the second day of the 11th India International Science Festival (IISF) in Panchkula, Saini remarked that science is not merely a career but a means of nation-building. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Jitendra Singh for allowing Haryana to host the IISF for the second time.

A Grand Gathering of Science Enthusiasts

According to Saini, over 40,000 participants from India and abroad are taking part in this four-day event. He referred to it as a 'Mahakumbh of Science,' representing a confluence of science, innovation, startup energy, future technologies, and the aspirations of a new India. The state government is actively promoting scientific research, awarding the 'Haryana Science Ratna' to two distinguished scientists over the age of 40 each year, and the 'Haryana Young Science Ratna' to two eminent scientists under 40.
