Modern Labs to Enhance Student Innovation
Hisar (Haryana), August 9 – Haryana's Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, announced on Sunday that modern laboratories in science, computer science, and robotics will create new opportunities for experimentation, research, and innovation for students. Speaking at the inauguration of new educational facilities at O.P. Jindal Modern School in Hisar, Saini emphasized that such amenities will prepare students for the demands of the 21st century.
The event was part of celebrations marking the 96th birth anniversary of former minister, industrialist, and philanthropist O.P. Jindal. Saini praised the establishment of an innovation hub at the school, stating it is a commendable initiative. This hub will provide children with the chance to express their ideas, develop them into models and projects, and collaborate with teachers and peers to find solutions to problems.
He noted that this center will enhance students' creative thinking, teamwork, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities. Saini highlighted that educational institutions like schools play a crucial role in preparing the younger generation for the needs of the 21st century, implementing the National Education Policy, and contributing to the vision of 'Developed India - Developed Haryana.' He stated that the new education policy, aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, aims to provide youth with education that fosters character, employability, and skills.
He also mentioned that 'Model Schools of Excellence' are being established in every division, where children will receive education in artificial intelligence (AI), coding, and digital skills. Furthermore, skill development programs are being integrated into schools, and research and innovation in higher education are being promoted.
Present at the event were Public Works and Health Minister Ranbir Gangwa and Savitri Jindal, honorary chairperson of the Jindal Group and a legislator, among others.
