Concerns Over Punjab's Governance

On Sunday, Haryana's Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, expressed serious concerns regarding the ongoing issues of drug addiction, crime, chaos, and economic distress under the governance of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab. Speaking at a rally in Kurali, he highlighted the failures of both the previous Congress administrations and the current AAP government in fulfilling their promises.

Saini remarked, "We are living in an era where an informed public observes, understands, and makes decisions based on experience... The people of Punjab have given opportunities to both the Congress Party and the AAP."

He further questioned, "Both parties made grand promises, yet today every section of Punjab is asking - where are those promises and what happened to the change that was promised?" The rally also featured speeches from Sunil Jakhar, president of the BJP's Punjab unit, and Ashwani Sharma, the executive president of the state unit.

Wearing a traditional turban, Saini criticized AAP's claims of honesty, pointing out that issues like drug abuse, crime, chaos, economic troubles, and deteriorating law and order continue to plague the state.

In contrast, he praised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for adhering to the principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.' Saini questioned, "How long can politics thrive on lies? When the winds of truth blow, everything will change." He emphasized the necessity for Punjab to have a 'double-engine' government, one that not only makes promises but also has the capability to fulfill them.
