Harmanpreet Kaur Climbs ICC Women's T20I Rankings Amid Key Changes

Significant Ranking Updates for Indian Cricketers

Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian women's cricket team, has ascended two positions to secure the 13th spot in the ICC Women's T20I Batting Rankings. This advancement follows her impressive performance in the fifth and final T20I against Sri Lanka held in Thiruvananthapuram, where she scored 68 runs off 43 balls, earning her the Player of the Match title. Meanwhile, Deepti Sharma has lost her top ranking in the bowling category, as reported by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Despite her efforts, Sharma's bowling figures of one wicket for 28 runs were insufficient to maintain her lead, resulting in her drop to second place behind Annabel Sutherland. Sutherland now holds 736 rating points, reclaiming the No. 1 position she first achieved in August 2025, when she overtook Pakistan's spinner Sadia Iqbal.
