Gurugram Woman Arrested for Conspiring to Murder Husband
Murder Conspiracy Uncovered in Gurugram
On Sunday, authorities in Gurugram apprehended a 35-year-old woman who allegedly conspired with her neighbor to murder her 37-year-old husband. The victim's remains were discovered buried in a pit after the woman reported him missing. Additionally, a 60-year-old man, identified as the uncle of the woman's neighbor, was arrested for allegedly digging the grave for the body.
Earlier, on Friday, police had taken the woman's 34-year-old neighbor into custody following her claims that he had raped her in March, recorded the incident, and threatened to release the video publicly. She also expressed suspicions about his involvement in her husband's disappearance. The woman had filed a missing person report on July 28, stating that she last saw her husband on July 26.
Investigations revealed inconsistencies, indicating that the woman had been involved in a year-long affair with her neighbor. According to police reports, the murder was instigated when the victim's daughter found a compromising video of the woman and her lover on her father's phone and showed it to him. Fearing the fallout, the couple plotted to kill the husband.
Further details from a report indicated that the pair meticulously planned the murder, researching methods online for killing and disposing of a body. The neighbor enlisted his uncle, who worked in cattle rearing, to assist in digging the grave. On July 26, the woman and her accomplice strangled her husband with a rope and buried him. The body was later found based on the confession of the neighbor.
The investigation also revealed that the woman maintained communication with her neighbor throughout the crime. In a bid to exonerate herself, she filed a missing person report, fully aware that her husband had been murdered.
