Gulf Giants Confident in New Signings

Simon Helmot, the head coach of Gulf Giants, has voiced strong confidence in the team's recent acquisitions, highlighting David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Blessing Muzarabani as "world-class players and proven match-winners" in anticipation of the upcoming World ILT20 season five. This season is set to take place from November 22 to December 20, as per the official announcement.


These four players bring significant international experience in batting, pace bowling, and all-round capabilities, as the Gulf Giants aim for their second World ILT20 title, having clinched the inaugural championship in 2023.


Giants Enhance Squad with Experienced Players

In discussing the new signings, Helmot stated, "We are thrilled to welcome David and Heinrich to the Gulf Giants family while also bringing back Azmatullah and Blessing. They are exceptional players and proven match-winners who will add immense quality and depth to our squad. We have established a solid foundation, and the Player Auction will provide us with another chance to finalize our team as we gear up for season five."


Player Profiles

David Miller, known as one of the best finishers in world cricket, boasts extensive experience with 571 T20 matches and over 12,000 runs in both international and franchise cricket. He played a crucial role in the Gujarat Titans' IPL title victory in 2022.


Heinrich Klaasen, a dynamic wicketkeeper-batter, has an impressive record of more than 6,900 runs in 294 T20 matches and is set to make his debut in the DP World ILT20 during Season 5.


Azmatullah Omarzai made a notable impact in his first season with the Gulf Giants, scoring 233 runs and taking 12 wickets in 10 matches, which secured his return for Season 5.


Blessing Muzarabani is back after an injury sidelined him last season. Since joining the Gulf Giants in 2023, the Zimbabwean pacer has taken 22 wickets in 17 matches, leading the team with 16 wickets in 10 matches during the 2024-25 season.
