Gujarat Chief Minister Launches Three-Day Mining Strategy Camp
Inauguration of the National Mineral Strategy Camp
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated a three-day strategy camp in the presence of Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and C.R. Patil, along with other dignitaries. He emphasized that the mining sector serves as a crucial pillar for India's industries and economy. The camp aims to enhance national development through collective strategic discussions.
During the opening of the national mineral strategy camp organized by the Ministry of Mines at Mahatma Mandir, Bhupendra Patel stated that this initiative will act as a powerful platform for outlining the framework for building a new India. This inaugural camp, the first of its kind by the Ministry of Mines, will last for three days and will see participation from mining ministers, officials, and stakeholders from various states across the country.
He noted that the Prime Minister has implemented comprehensive reforms across all sectors to make India self-reliant, with the mining sector being a clear example of these reforms, made possible through transparent policies, strong political will, and good governance. Bhupendra Patel highlighted that the Prime Minister's vision prioritizes sustainable development in harmony with nature, which is being achieved in the mining sector through green mining practices, scientific land reforms, and technology-based monitoring.
The Chief Minister also pointed out Gujarat's strategic importance for essential minerals such as lignite, limestone, and bauxite, stating that the state has set a benchmark not only in production and auctioning but also in transparency, discipline, and regulatory compliance.
