A Historic Day for Ram Mandir

Today is a significant occasion for Ram Mandir as it witnesses its second Pran Pratishtha ceremony, this time for the Ram Darbar, featuring Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman. This sacred event is taking place on the temple's first floor.

Three-Day Festivities Culminate Today

This momentous event concludes a three-day celebration that commenced on June 3rd, with the main ceremony scheduled for today, June 5th, at approximately 11 AM. Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, will grace the occasion as the chief guest, coinciding with his 53rd birthday, adding to the day's significance. The Anjaneya Sewa Trust has meticulously organized the festivities.

Ceremony Details Unveiled

Shashikant Maharaj from the Anjani Seva Sansthan has shared insights into the ceremony's proceedings. It will commence with traditional Vedic chants and havans. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will perform the ceremonial 'uncovering of the eyes' for the idols of Lord Ram and Sita, a crucial act believed to infuse life into the statues, showcasing 'Raja Ram' in his majestic form.

Exquisite Idols of Ram Darbar

The Ram Darbar will feature a stunning idol of Lord Ram alongside Mata Sita, seated on a two-foot-high white marble throne. Accompanying them will be idols of Lord Hanuman and Lakshman. All these figures and their throne are crafted from pure white marble sourced from Jaipur, renowned for its exquisite stonework. The Ram Darbar stands at 4.5 feet tall, and the Ram idol will be adorned with ornate crowns, jeweled belts, and garments made from gold thread and precious stones, designed by Manish Tiwari.

Security Measures and Devotee Celebrations

Robust security arrangements have been established throughout Ayodhya to ensure a smooth and safe event over these three days, with police forces including the CRPF, SSF, and PAC deployed. Regular visitors can still access Ram Lalla during this special occasion. Additionally, 62,000 boxes of 'prasad' containing sweet Barfi are being distributed from Lucknow as a treat for devotees.

The Ram Temple is constructed in the traditional Nagara architectural style, featuring intricate carvings of deities on its walls. While access to the first floor for the ceremony is limited, the second floor will later showcase the Ramayana story in multiple languages for all to read. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the main Ram Temple on January 22, 2024, during the consecration of the 'baal roop' of Lord Ram. Today's event focuses on 'Raja Ram', completing the depiction of Lord Ram in his divine court.
