Safety Measures for Indian Citizens

On Monday, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju announced that the central government is actively working to ensure the safety of Indian nationals caught in the Israel-Iran conflict. Speaking to the media, Rijiju emphasized that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the government is prepared for rescue operations in such situations. He noted that previous administrations did not provide the extensive support that is now being offered through the Ministry of External Affairs via its embassies in various countries.


Efforts to Evacuate Citizens

Meanwhile, Odisha Minister Prithviraj Harichandan stated that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of External Affairs are making every effort to evacuate Indian citizens from the conflict zones in West Asia, assuring that no one will be left behind. Discussing the situation in West Asia, Harichandan mentioned that the government has developed a comprehensive plan and the evacuation process is proceeding as scheduled.


Appeal for Student Evacuation

In a related development, Nasir Khuehami, the national coordinator of the Jammu and Kashmir Student Union, wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting the evacuation of approximately 1,200 Kashmiri students from affected areas in Iran following military actions initiated by the US and Israel. He urged the Indian government to open diplomatic channels and raise the issue of student evacuation with their counterparts.
