Meanwhile, in the Rajya Sabha, a proposal to amend the Manipur Water Act will be introduced. With leaders agreeing to ensure a smooth session, the Lok Sabha aims to avoid further interruptions.

Legislative Agenda for the Winter Session

On the third day of the winter session in Parliament, the government is set to recommence significant legislative activities in the Lok Sabha. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to introduce the Central Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2025. This development follows a day of disruptions in the lower house due to repeated adjournments.


Additionally, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi will present a proposal for the House's approval regarding the eleventh report of the Business Advisory Committee on December 2. A tribute will also be paid to former Congress MP Rameshwar Dudi in the Lok Sabha.


Rajya Sabha Proceedings

In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav will introduce a statutory proposal to pass the Manipur Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Amendment Act, 2024. The Lok Sabha experienced multiple disruptions on Tuesday due to opposition protests regarding the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of voter lists. However, today, the House is expected to function smoothly as the leaders have agreed to ensure an uninterrupted session.
