Significant Announcement for Vulnerable Families
The National Family Benefit Scheme provides a one-time financial assistance of ₹30,000 to families in distress. If the earning head of your family, aged between 18 and 60, has passed away, it’s crucial to understand the eligibility criteria and the straightforward application process.
What is the National Family Benefit Scheme?
The Uttar Pradesh government has initiated various schemes to assist its impoverished citizens. One such initiative is the National Family Benefit Scheme, launched in 2016, aimed at providing financial support to economically disadvantaged families.
Financial Aid of ₹30,000 for Families in Distress
This scheme is designed to offer financial relief to families who have lost their earning head. Eligible families can receive ₹30,000 in assistance from the government. To qualify for this benefit, certain rules and eligibility criteria must be met.
Eligibility Criteria for the National Family Benefit Scheme
To avail of the benefits under the National Family Benefit Scheme, applicants must be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh. The assistance is granted upon the death of the family head, who must have been aged between 18 and 60 at the time of death. Additionally, the family's annual income should not exceed ₹56,450 in urban areas and ₹46,080 in rural regions.
It is important to note that the death must occur due to natural causes; however, in specific cases, benefits may also be available for deaths resulting from suicide or accidents. This scheme primarily targets Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, and the deceased should not have been employed in a government position.
