Get Ready for the India-AI Impact Summit 2026: New Delhi Prepares for a Major Event
Preparations Underway for the India-AI Impact Summit
New Delhi: As the countdown begins for the highly anticipated India-AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to take place in less than two weeks, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is taking significant steps to prepare the city for this prestigious event.
Officials have pinpointed 41 crucial routes throughout Lutyens Delhi, focusing on enhancing cleanliness, ensuring dust-free roads, maintaining footpaths, and ensuring that street lights and public toilets are operational.
To assist motorists and enhance safety, urban delineators and solar-powered raised pavement markers will be installed along these routes, clearly defining lanes and marking potential hazards in urban areas, construction sites, and parking facilities. A dedicated nodal officer has been appointed to oversee these efforts.
In addition to these measures, the NDMC plans to illuminate several key buildings within its jurisdiction, creating a more vibrant atmosphere in the evenings. The civic body is also ramping up its sanitation initiatives, implementing special cleaning operations during the night and early morning to keep public spaces pristine throughout the day.
The summit is set to occur from February 16 to 20 at Bharat Mandapam. The NDMC will manage sanitation, traffic coordination, lighting, and emergency responses from a 24/7 control room, ensuring real-time monitoring and quick responses to any issues that may arise.
