Court Ruling on Gangster Vikas Gulia

A court in Delhi has sentenced Haryana-based gangster Vikas Gulia and his associate to life imprisonment under the provisions of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).


The court opted not to impose the death penalty, stating that the crime did not fall under the category of the rarest of rare cases. Additional Sessions Judge Vandana Jain delivered the life sentence to Gulia and his accomplice, Dheerpal, also known as Kana, under Section 3 of MCOCA.
