Ganga Kings and Gazab Ghaziabad Shine in UP Kabaddi League Season 2
Ganga Kings Triumph Over Purvanchal Panthers
In the opening matches of the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) Season 2, Ganga Kings from Mirzapur and Gazab Ghaziabad achieved significant victories at the Noida Indoor Stadium, enhancing their standings as the league approaches a critical phase. Ganga Kings secured their second win of the season by overcoming Purvanchal Panthers with a score of 44-33, despite initially trailing. The Panthers started strong, establishing a seven-point lead early on, but Ganga Kings responded by tightening their defense and controlling the pace of the game. The turning point came when Ganga executed an all-out, allowing them to take a three-point lead into halftime. In the second half, although Purvanchal tried to rally, a three-point super raid by Amit Nagar stifled their efforts. Ganga Kings then executed another all-out, which was crucial in extending their lead and comfortably finishing the match. Following the victory, team president Vedika Trivedi expressed her excitement as the team celebrated their second win of the season.
Gazab Ghaziabad Strengthens Top-Four Position
In the subsequent match, Gazab Ghaziabad triumphed over Kanpur Warriors with a score of 34-29, solidifying their position within the top four teams. Gazab took control of the game with a series of impressive plays, including an all-out and a super raid, which helped them establish a 13-point lead. This performance was notable as they played without their captain Uday Dabas, who was rested due to discomfort. Aman Rana stepped up in the offensive role, ensuring Gazab maintained their dominance. Although Kanpur Warriors made a strong effort to come back in the second half, reducing the deficit to five points after forcing an all-out, Gazab Ghaziabad remained composed in the final moments, tightening their defense to secure the win.
Intensifying Competition for League Positions
As the day progressed, additional matches took place featuring JD Noida Ninjas against Brij Stars, Awadh Ramdoots versus Yamuna Yoddhas, and Lucknow Lions competing against Kashi Kings. The competition for league positions intensified, showcasing the determination of all teams involved.
