Gandhi Family Celebrates New Year in Ranthambore National Park
Gandhi Family's New Year Getaway
According to sources, members of the Gandhi family, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, her husband Robert Vadra, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, have arrived in Ranthambore. The family reached Sawai Madhopur on Tuesday and is staying at a luxurious hotel near the Ranthambore National Park. Reports indicate that Priyanka's son, Raihan, had already arrived in Ranthambore. They are visiting the area to celebrate the New Year and plan to stay until January 2. This trip is being described as a private visit.
Safari Adventures Await
The Gandhi family is expected to enjoy a safari in the Ranthambore National Park during their stay. They are residing at a five-star resort and will explore different areas of the park on various days, with opportunities to spot tigers during their safari. Ranthambore National Park is one of the family's favorite destinations. This marks Rahul Gandhi's second visit to the park this year, while it is Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's third trip.
Previous Visits and Wildlife Encounters
During his visit in April, Rahul Gandhi experienced a jungle safari and observed the majestic tigress Arrowhead (T-84) and her cubs playing in their natural habitat. Tragically, the tigress passed away at the age of 11 on June 19. Ranthambore National Park is one of the largest and most renowned national parks in northern India, located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, approximately 130 km from Jaipur.
A Historic Hunting Ground
Once considered a famous hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park has now become a prominent wildlife tourism destination, attracting numerous wildlife photographers and enthusiasts. According to the latest census data released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is home to 2,967 tigers, which is notably one-third more than in 2014.
