Recent Fuel Price Increases in Delhi
New Delhi: On Saturday, the prices of petrol and diesel saw an increase of up to 91 paise per litre, marking the third rise in under ten days.
In Delhi, petrol prices rose by 87 paise, bringing the cost from Rs 98.64 to Rs 99.51 per litre. Diesel prices also increased by 91 paise, moving from Rs 91.58 to Rs 92.49.
This latest hike follows a series of adjustments initiated on May 15, when state-run oil companies began to reflect the rising energy costs linked to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
The initial increase was Rs 3 per litre on May 15, succeeded by a 90 paise rise on May 19. Cumulatively, fuel prices have surged by nearly Rs 5 per litre.
