In a significant effort to enhance healthcare access in rural areas, NHPC organized a free medical camp at the Primary School Darkodi Draman Basohli in Kathua district. The initiative, part of the CSR-CD scheme for 2025–26, provided essential medical services to 262 patients, offering free consultations and medications. Local officials praised the program's impact on community health and called for regular health camps in remote regions. A complimentary medical camp was organized under the CSR-CD initiative for the year 2025–26 at the Primary School Darkodi Draman Basohli, located in the Kathua district.


The camp aimed to deliver vital healthcare services to individuals in remote and rural communities, particularly targeting beneficiaries from the Draman and Tanu Panchayats. During the event, a total of 262 patients received medical examinations, along with free medications and consultations.


The inauguration of the medical camp was officiated by MLA Basohli, Thakur Darshan Singh, alongside Madan Lal Sharma, the Head of Sewa-2 Power Station. Both officials commended NHPC’s charitable efforts and emphasized the significance of outreach programs in enhancing healthcare accessibility in rural areas.


Kalpataru Nayak, General Manager (Electrical), and other senior NHPC officials were also present, showing their support for this initiative.


A specialized medical team, led by Dr. R.K. Chintan from NHPC, conducted health assessments and ensured that necessary medications were distributed at no cost, highlighting the commitment to quality healthcare for the villagers.


Local community members actively engaged in the camp and expressed their appreciation to NHPC for organizing such programs. They also requested that similar health camps be held regularly in remote locations.
