Incident of Deception in Bharatpur
A shocking incident of fraud has emerged in Bharatpur district, Rajasthan, where a groom was deceived during his wedding preparations. The young man was misled by those arranging his marriage, leaving him in disbelief and shock. A gang known for orchestrating fake marriages has been operating in Bharatpur, and they managed to swindle the victim out of seven lakh rupees before marrying him off to a woman who was not the one he had been shown.
The gang presented a different woman to the groom for the wedding, but he ended up marrying someone else entirely. The ceremony took place under the guise of a veil, and as the bride was being taken to the groom's home, he began to suspect something was amiss. Upon lifting the veil, he was stunned to discover that the bride was not the woman he had been shown. After contacting the brokers who arranged the marriage, they arrived at the scene, threw some money at the groom, and took the bride away. The victim then sought help from the police.
According to police reports, the case is linked to the Khoh police station area. Phoolchand Gurjar, a resident of Nangal Chaudhary in Haryana, filed a complaint on February 9 against four individuals for fraudulently arranging a marriage and stealing seven lakh rupees. In his report, the victim stated that he was introduced to a girl from his village by Bijan Gurjar from Khoh, Kartar Gurjar from Mathura, and Ravi Dhobi from Punjabi Bagh, Delhi, who charged him seven lakh rupees for the marriage.
While the marriage was conducted, the bride was switched. Instead of the girl initially shown, the groom was made to marry another woman. On their way back from the wedding, the groom's suspicions were raised, leading him to lift the bride's veil and realize the shocking truth. The bride's name was revealed to be Neha, also from Punjabi Bagh, Delhi.
After the shocking revelation, the groom contacted the brokers again, leading to a confrontation where the brokers threw some of the money back at Phoolchand and fled with Neha. Realizing they had been scammed, Phoolchand and the groom approached the police for assistance.
Following an investigation, police arrested all four suspects on February 14 from various locations. Interrogations are ongoing, and authorities believe that this gang has been involved in similar fraudulent activities, potentially leading to the discovery of more cases.
