On Wednesday evening, an incident involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) near Gola Road in the Danapur police station area resulted in injuries to four individuals, including a woman. This information was confirmed by local police on Thursday.


Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj, the officer in charge of Danapur police station, stated, 'An SUV collided with several pedestrians walking along the roadside, leading to injuries for four people, including one woman.'


The injured were initially taken to a government hospital for treatment, but later, they were referred to private hospitals for more advanced care. Following the incident, local residents expressed their anger by setting the SUV on fire, which was subsequently extinguished with the assistance of firefighters.


The police chief mentioned that they are in the process of identifying the vehicle's owner based on the registration, engine, and chassis numbers, and further actions are being taken. He also noted that a review of CCTV footage will provide additional insights into the incident.
