Health Concerns Prompt Hospitalization

On Monday, former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was admitted to the All India Institute of Ayurveda Sciences (AIMS) for medical evaluation following two incidents of fainting last week. Officials reported that he experienced these episodes while visiting the restroom on January 10. After the incidents, he was advised by doctors to undergo further examination at AIMS.

Previous Health Issues

It is noteworthy that Dhankhar has previously fainted during public events as Vice President, including occasions in Kutch, Uttarakhand, Kerala, and the national capital. Citing health issues, he resigned from the vice presidency on July 21. A few weeks later, in September, he vacated the official residence in Vice President Enclave and moved to a private farmhouse in the Chhatarpur area of South Delhi.

New Residence Details

The farmhouse located in the Gadaipur area of Chhatarpur belongs to INLD leader Abhay Chautala. On August 22, Dhankhar wrote to the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs requesting official accommodation typically provided to former vice presidents.
