On Saturday, India reported that Pakistan had violated the ceasefire agreement established earlier in the day between the Directors General of Military Operations from both nations. In response, the Indian Army has begun retaliating against these incursions.
During a special briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that India views these violations very seriously. He stated, "This is a breach of the understanding reached earlier today, and we are responding appropriately to these violations."
India urged Pakistan to take necessary actions to rectify these breaches and handle the situation with the seriousness it deserves.
Misri further noted that the Indian Armed Forces have been instructed to respond decisively to any further violations along both the International Border and the Line of Control.
"In the past few hours, there have been multiple breaches of the agreement made earlier today between the military operations directors of both countries. Our armed forces are providing a suitable response to these violations, and we take these matters very seriously," Misri added.
"We call on Pakistan to take the necessary steps to address these violations and manage the situation responsibly. Our armed forces are on high alert and have been directed to respond firmly to any recurrence of these border violations," he concluded.
