Chanting slogans like "Education Theft," the opposition MPs highlighted the brutality faced by peaceful protesters and demanded an apology from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Prominent opposition figures, including Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP K.C. Venugopal, and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, participated in the protests outside Parliament.

Calls for Accountability from Amit Shah

The protesting MPs insisted that Amit Shah address the allegations of police brutality during the 'Parliament Chalo' protest on July 20 and called for the withdrawal of criminal cases against student demonstrators. According to sources within the opposition, the parties have decided not to participate in discussions within the House and will continue to demand accountability from the Home Minister regarding the alleged use of force against students.

Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns Amid Education System Issues

As student protests intensified over the NEET paper leak and issues within the education system, Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his position as Education Minister on Saturday. In a social media post, he stated that he submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Modi, explaining that he chose to step down to prevent "anti-national forces" from spreading confusion and taking advantage of the situation.
