Support for the Armed Forces

In light of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, former Indian cricket stars Virender Sehwag and Shikhar Dhawan have voiced their unwavering support for the Indian Armed Forces. They emphasized that India will take decisive action in response to recent provocations.

Sehwag's Strong Statement

Sehwag expressed his views on his official X account, stating, "Pakistan has opted for war when they had the chance to remain silent. Their actions to protect terrorist assets reveal much about their intentions. Our forces will respond in a way that Pakistan will never forget."

Dhawan's Tribute to Soldiers

Shikhar Dhawan also shared his thoughts, praising the bravery of Indian soldiers. He wrote, "Salute to our courageous forces for defending our borders and thwarting the drone attack in Jammu. India remains resilient. Jai Hind!"

Defence Forces Intercept Attacks

On Thursday, defence officials reported that Pakistan launched eight missiles aimed at regions such as Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia. Fortunately, all missiles were intercepted by Indian air defence systems.

Residents in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, reported hearing explosions as Indian forces successfully intercepted Pakistani drones. Similar incidents were noted in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, where locals also witnessed bright flashes in the sky.

In response to these threats, precautionary blackouts were implemented in various locations, including Bikaner (Rajasthan), Jalandhar, Amritsar (Punjab), and several areas in Jammu and Kashmir.

Operation Sindoor Launched

In a proactive measure, India initiated Operation Sindoor following a terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that resulted in the deaths of 28 civilians. This operation involved targeted strikes against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

India has also issued warnings that any assaults on military facilities will be met with a strong response.
