Assault Incident Involving Yusuf Pathan's Relatives

In a troubling incident in Mumbai, Khalid Khan, the father-in-law of former cricketer and Trinamool Congress MP Yusuf Pathan, along with his brother-in-law Umarshad Khan, has been accused of attacking a passenger following a roadside altercation. The confrontation reportedly began when a vehicle driven by a man named Yusuf Khan splashed water on Shoaib Khan, a relative of Pathan's in-laws, leading to the dispute.

According to police reports, as Yusuf Khan was heading to the police station to file a complaint, Khalid Khan and others confronted him and launched an attack. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. In a counter-complaint, Umarshad Khan filed an FIR against the passenger at the same police station where the initial complaint was lodged against him and his father. A local court in Mumbai is set to hear the bail applications of Pathan's relatives on Wednesday, related to the alleged assault. The police have confirmed that investigations into the incident and the roadside attack are ongoing.

Investigators allege that the group assaulted Yusuf Khan and his family members using bamboo sticks and a baseball bat. During the attack, Yusuf Khan's brother Salman suffered a fractured arm, while his uncle, Zaki Ahmed, sustained serious injuries. Authorities have detained three suspects, including the father-in-law, while efforts to locate a fourth suspect are still underway. The case has been registered under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including sections 118(2), 115(2), 324, 352, and 351(2).
