In a disturbing event from Madhya Pradesh, more than twelve individuals were hospitalized after consuming puris prepared with allegedly adulterated desi ghee. The incident occurred when residents of Sahai village were enjoying a picnic at Ajaygarh fort, only to be struck by sudden bouts of vomiting. Local villagers quickly transported them to a nearby medical facility.

Adulteration of Ghee Confirmed
Upon receiving reports, officials from the Food Department arrived at Ajaygarh Government Hospital. Initial investigations indicated that the ghee used for frying the puris was indeed adulterated.
Symptoms Reported Among Victims
The affected group included both women and children, who were admitted to the hospital due to symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea.
Ongoing Investigation
Following the incident, the Food Department team collected samples of the ghee for testing. The administration is treating the situation with urgency, promising to take action against those responsible for selling adulterated food products. Additionally, they are conducting sampling at the shop where the ghee was purchased.
