Florida Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder Outside Rihanna's Home
Shooting Incident at Celebrity Residence
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a 35-year-old woman from Florida, has been taken into custody on charges of attempted murder following a shooting incident outside the Los Angeles home of renowned singer Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky. Reports indicate that Ortiz allegedly fired several rounds from an AR-15-style rifle towards the couple's residence while they were inside with their children.
Authorities confirmed that Ortiz was apprehended by the Los Angeles Police Department shortly after the incident and is currently being held on a bond set at $10 million. Investigators revealed that she discharged between seven and nine rounds, with at least four bullets hitting the house. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this alarming event.
Details of the Shooting Incident
The shooting occurred around 1:30 PM on Sunday in the Beverly Crest neighborhood of Los Angeles. According to police, the shots were fired from a vehicle, identified as a white Tesla, which fled the scene immediately after the gunfire. A helicopter was deployed to track the vehicle as it traveled south on Coldwater Canyon Drive.
Law enforcement successfully located the car at a shopping center in Sherman Oaks, where Ortiz was arrested approximately 30 minutes after the initial emergency call. During the investigation, officers discovered bullet holes in the front gate of the property and examined an Airstream trailer parked in the driveway. The case has now been transferred to detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Division for further investigation.
