Significant Blaze in Bilaspur Market
A fire broke out late Tuesday night in a market in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, resulting in the destruction of over 12 shops. This information was confirmed by police officials on Wednesday.
According to Vivek Pandey, the officer in charge of the City Kotwali police station, the blaze ignited around 3 AM in the Shanishchari market area. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries resulting from the incident.
Pandey mentioned that fire engines were dispatched to the scene promptly after the fire was reported. Before the flames could be extinguished, between 12 to 15 commercial establishments, including a warehouse, a clothing store, and several food outlets, were engulfed in flames.
The exact extent of the damage caused by the fire has yet to be assessed. Initially, it appears that the fire may have been triggered by a short circuit, but a thorough investigation will provide more accurate information.
