Freight Train Fire Incident in Tamil Nadu

On Sunday morning, a freight train transporting diesel caught fire near Tiruvallur in Tamil Nadu, as reported by a railway official.

The official indicated that the blaze originated in one of the train's compartments and rapidly spread to adjacent ones. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries resulting from this incident.

Firefighting teams have been dispatched to the scene, and the overhead electrical supply for rail services has been suspended. In a precautionary measure, the Southern Railway announced a temporary halt to local train services.

Additionally, eight express trains have been canceled, five others have had their routes altered, and eight trains have been stopped before reaching their intended destinations. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
