Financial Support of ₹30,000 for Families in Distress
This scheme aims to offer financial relief to families whose head has passed away. Eligible families will receive ₹30,000 from the government. To qualify for this benefit, certain rules and eligibility criteria must be met.
Eligibility Criteria for the National Family Benefit Scheme
To avail of the National Family Benefit Scheme, applicants must be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh. The benefit is granted upon the death of the family head, who must be between 18 and 60 years old at the time of death. Additionally, the family's annual income should not exceed a specified limit: ₹56,450 in urban areas and ₹46,080 in rural regions.
Moreover, the head of the family must have died due to natural causes; however, in certain exceptional cases, benefits may also be available for deaths resulting from suicide or accidents. This scheme primarily targets families living below the poverty line (BPL), and the deceased should not have been employed in a government position.
