Final Preparations Underway for Jaipur Municipal Elections

Election Campaigns Conclude Ahead of Voting

Jaipur: The excitement surrounding the municipal elections in Rajasthan is reaching its peak as the voting date approaches. The first phase of voting is scheduled for September 9, and election campaigning will officially end on the evening of September 7. After this deadline, candidates will not be allowed to hold rallies, meetings, or public promotions.

Voting Scheduled for 18 Municipal Bodies

In the first phase, voting will take place across 18 municipal bodies in Jaipur district, including the municipalities of Chomu and Shahpura. Polling will be conducted from 7 AM to 6 PM.

Polling Teams to Depart on September 8

On September 8, the day before voting, polling teams will depart from the Bhawani Niketan campus. The administration has organized this in two phases.

The first group will leave at 7 AM for polling stations in Phulera-Sambhar, Kishangarh-Renwal, Shahpura, Manoharpur, Naraina, Dudu, Fagi, and Chaksu. The second group will depart at 11 AM for Jobner, Khejroli, Chomu, Kaladera, Bagru, Bassi-Kanota, Jamwaramgarh, and Vatika.

Administrative Responsibilities Increase Post-Campaign

Once the election campaigns conclude, the administration's focus will shift to ensuring the proper setup of polling stations, security measures, and the safe transportation of polling teams. The district administration has instructed relevant officials and departments to ensure all necessary arrangements at the polling centers.

Additionally, with the end of campaigning in the areas where voting will occur, a dry day will be enforced. Liquor shops in these regions will remain closed during the designated period before voting.

Voting on September 9, Counting on September 14

After the voting on September 9 in these 18 municipal bodies, the counting of votes will take place on September 14. The municipal elections in Rajasthan are being conducted in two phases, with the second phase scheduled for September 11, which includes the Jaipur Municipal Corporation and other bodies.

Candidates in the first phase now have only one last day for campaigning before the electoral noise subsides, allowing the administration to finalize preparations for the voting process.
