Fencing Associations Unite for Growth Ahead of LA 2028 Olympics

The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has partnered with the Fencing Association of India (FAI) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the sport's development in India as the nation prepares for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

This agreement was formalized by Abdelmoniem El Husseiny, the Interim President of FIE, and Rajeev Mehta, the Secretary General of FAI and the Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA), during the Asian Fencing Championships 2026 held in New Delhi.

The MoU outlines a collaborative framework focusing on several key areas such as promoting athletes, engaging fans, improving communication, reaching out to stakeholders, and initiatives designed to boost the visibility and attractiveness of fencing. This partnership aims to create new opportunities for athletes and attract a broader audience, contributing to the sport's long-term growth.
