The 28-year-old defender brings a wealth of experience from his time in Spanish football, having played for clubs such as Real Zaragoza, FC Barcelona B, Sporting de Gijon B, UD Logrones, Extremadura UD, UD Ibiza, and Real Murcia.

Zalaya is recognized for his strong aerial skills, positional awareness, and confidence with the ball. He excels in a possession-oriented style of play, showcasing an intelligent understanding of the game while also being capable of initiating offensive plays from the back. His addition is expected to enhance the defensive strength of the Gaurs.
