Fatima Sana, the captain of the Pakistan women's cricket team, encountered an injury scare just before their opening match in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 against their long-time rivals, India. During a practice session on Saturday, she sustained a minor injury but it appears that it won't prevent her from participating in the match.
Sana's Remarks on Her Condition
In a pre-match press conference, Sana explained, "Ayesha (Zafar) baaji played a shot that accidentally struck my knee." She reassured everyone, saying, "I believe it is feeling better now."
When questioned about her fitness for the crucial match on Sunday, she confidently responded, "Yes, hopefully."
